HEIKN ("HEIKN," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website heikn.com and the HEIKN Labs brand (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you.

When you contact us by email, we receive whatever information you choose to share — typically your name, email address, and the contents of your message.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our advertising and analytics partners may automatically collect certain information through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies, including:

  • IP address and approximate location
  • Browser type, device type, and operating system
  • Pages viewed, time spent, referring and exit pages
  • Interactions with ads and content (clicks, conversions)

Advertising and analytics partners

We use, or plan to use, the following third-party tools to measure traffic and advertising performance:

  • Google — Google Analytics and Google Ads (including conversion tracking)
  • Meta — Meta Pixel and Conversions API
  • TikTok — TikTok Pixel

As the Site develops, some of these tools may not yet be active on every page. This Policy is written to cover their use once deployed, so it does not need to be rewritten each time a new tool goes live.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information with:

  • Service providers who host and run the Site — currently Google (Firebase Hosting, Google Cloud)
  • Advertising and analytics partners — Google, Meta, and TikTok, for the purposes described above, including in hashed or pseudonymized form (e.g., via Conversions API-type integrations)
  • Authorities, where required by law or to protect our rights

5. International Data Transfers

Google, Meta, and TikTok process data on servers located outside the Republic of Korea, including in the United States. When your information is shared with these partners, it may be transferred to and processed in those countries. 6. Data Retention

We keep inquiry-related information only as long as necessary to respond to you and to maintain reasonable business records, after which it is deleted. Aggregated or pseudonymized analytics and advertising data is retained according to the default retention settings of each platform (Google, Meta, TikTok).

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your personal information
  • Object to or request restriction of certain processing
  • Withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent

8. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption and restricted access to systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Third-Party Links

The Site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to review their policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

This Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, including the Personal Information Protection Act.
